What does good blood circulation even do?
Blood circulation carries oxygen and nutrients around the body, benefitting the brain, the heart, the lungs, muscles, digestion, and everything else in your body. It also carries oxygen and nutrients to all working cells throughout the entire body, including your skin. Blood circulation is also responsible to carry the waste and toxins out of your body, which is so important for skin health and overall health.
What happens when blood circulation is stagnant?
When it comes to your skin, you may look pale and have dull skin tone; dryness, uneven skin, acne, rosacea, pigmentation, rashes, eczema, and you may notice your skin does not heal very well, which can lead to acne pigmentation or scars.
How does blood even form?
The Spleen-Stomach transforms food into nutrients which are needed to produce blood. Then oxygen from the lungs enters the blood vessels. The kidneys clean the blood, removing the waste. The liver processes the blood and breaks down, balances and creates the nutrients needed. The heart sends the blood around your body to feed those cells, and carries away the waste. The blood delivers oxygen and glucose to the brain and it also carries nutrients to your skin.
What can hinder poor quality blood circulation and blood quality?
If you eat foods that do not have the right nutrients, then your body will struggle to produce good blood. Not breathing properly changes the amount of oxygen the lungs pass to the blood. If you do not drink enough water, this disrupts the kidneys and liver from filtering the toxins. Now your body does not get the right nutrients it needs from the blood, this can result in poor digestion, brain fog and skin concerns.
What do you need to do then to improve you quality of blood and circulation?
To encourage blood flow, try gently massaging your face when you apply your skincare. Exercise is another great option to help encourage blood circulation. Of course good quality food, preferably organic, warm, hot and cooked to help the body absorb nutrients. Stay hydrated, drink a minimum of 50% off your weight in pounds to ounces of room temp or warm water, not iced. Lastly, take the time each day to purposeful breathe, so you encourage enough oxygen to enter your body on the inhale and remove the waste on the exhale.
